In re Buss, Robert Patrick, 2013PR00031
Disposition Suspension for a specified period
Effective Date of Disposition 06/10/2013
End Date of Disposition 06/09/2018
Definition of Disposition Suspension for a specified period reflects a determination that the lawyer has engaged in misconduct and that the misconduct warrants an interruption of the lawyer's authority to practice law during the suspension period, which is a fixed period of time identified in the Supreme Court's order. The lawyer is not authorized to practice law during the period of the suspension.
Case Summary Mr. Buss was licensed in 1972 and in Texas in 1990. He was suspended for five years in Texas for engaging in the unauthorized practice of law when his right to practice had been administratively suspended for not timely paying required fees or assessments, and for failing to cooperate with the Texas State Bar. The Supreme Court of Illinois imposed reciprocal discipline and suspended him for five years. The suspension is effective on June 10, 2013.
