Disposition Disbarment
Effective Date of Disposition 01/15/2026
End Date of Disposition No disposition end date scheduled at this time. Discipline continues until further order of the Court.
Definition of Disposition Disbarment is a determination that the lawyer has engaged in misconduct warranting the most serious sanction. The disbarred lawyer is not authorized to practice law during the period of the disbarment and may not return to the practice of law unless and until he or she has demonstrated his or her rehabilitation, good character, and current knowledge of the law in a subsequent reinstatement case, which may not be filed until five years after the effective date of the disbarment.
Case Summary Ms. Lowery, who was licensed in 2000, was disbarred. She knowingly made a false statement impugning the integrity of a judge in responding to the ARDC's petition to recover costs incurred during her prior disciplinary matter. She also made various other false or baseless statements on social media impugning the integrity of the Illinois Supreme Court and a former Chief Justice of the Court. Additionally, she filed voluminous and duplicative pleadings with the ARDC's Hearing Board that contained hundreds of false, disrespectful, and vitriolic statements about various persons.

End Date of Disposition 01/15/2026
Definition of Disposition An interim suspension reflects the determination of the Supreme Court that a lawyer should be suspended from the practice of law. In imposing interim suspension, the Court orders that the lawyer be suspended until further order of the Court and may impose such conditions as the Court deems necessary. The lawyer is not authorized to practice law during the period of the interim suspension. The Court may terminate the interim suspension upon imposition of final discipline or under other circumstances as the Supreme Court deems just.
Case Summary Ms. Lowery, who was licensed in 2000, was suspended on an interim basis and until further order of the Court based on allegations in a pending disciplinary action that she filed a pleading in the Illinois Supreme Court containing false statements about the integrity of a circuit court judge and the supreme court's justices, made social media posts containing false statements about the integrity of various judges, and filed pleadings in the pending disciplinary matter containing false statements about the integrity of supreme court justices and a volunteer ARDC Hearing Board Chairperson.
