Definition of Disposition A suspension with conditions reflects a determination that the lawyer has engaged in misconduct and that the misconduct warrants both an interruption of the lawyer's authority to practice law during the suspension period, and the imposition of conditions with which the lawyer must comply. The suspension may be for a fixed period of time or for a fixed period of time and until the lawyer complies with the conditions. Case Summary Ms. Levison, who was licensed in 1984, was suspended for three years and until she makes restitution of her unpaid tax obligations. For a number of years, while serving as the attorney for the Village of Dolton, she failed to timely file her federal tax returns. She was convicted of willful failure to file tax returns. The suspension is effective on December 10, 2019.
