Case Summary Mr. Margolis, who was licensed in 1993, was suspended for thirty days. While representing a client in a workers’ compensation matter, he failed to appear at a scheduled arbitration and then made false statements to his opposing counsel and an arbitrator about his availability for arbitration. While representing another client in two other separate workers’ compensation matters, he did not communicate with the client concerning significant events in the cases and took action on the client’s behalf without consulting with the client. The suspension is effective on October 13, 2015.
