Case Summary Mr. Lavender, who was licensed in 1988, was censured. While a partner at a Chicago law firm, he represented two men who were trying to develop a restaurant. He did not disclose to the two men the risks that were inherent in the common representation and when the men came to a disagreement over their relative interests in the restaurant business, he continued to work on behalf of one of the men, contrary to the interests of the other client.
