Definition of Disposition A reprimand reflects a determination that the lawyer has engaged in misconduct, but that the violation is not so serious to warrant a sanction that would affect the lawyer’s authority to continue to practice law. The Supreme Court of Wisconsin publicly reprimanded him for engaging in the unauthorized practice of law in connection with a civil litigation matter in Wisconsin after his license to practice law in that state had been suspended administratively, and for making false statements to a tribunal and to Wisconsin disciplinary authorities. The Illinois Supreme Court imposed reciprocal discipline and reprimanded him.
