1990 Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct

During the course of In representing a client, a lawyer shall not communicate or cause another to communicate on about the subject of the representation with a party person the lawyer knows to be represented by another lawyer in that the matter, unless the first lawyer has obtained the prior consent of the other lawyer representing such other party or as may otherwise be is authorized to do so by law or a court order.
